āThe African Diaspora Connection was founded by International Development and Public Administrator Practitioner Jessica Kanya-Ngambi in 2020. It is a platform that empowers Africa-centered initiatives through expert guidance, networking engagements, advocacy, and resource mobilization.

Mission
The goal of this platform is to strategically support Africa-centered initiatives by engaging the diaspora as development agents through expert guidance, networking engagements, advocacy, and resource mobilization.

About The Founder

Jessica Kanya-Ngambi is an Africa Development and Public Administration Practitioner with a decade of experience managing complex, western funded multi-million-dollar programs in over 20 African and MENA countries. She has a Master's degree from the New School's Public Engagement program as well as a Bachelor's degree from the University at Buffalo. Jessica is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Public Administration and Policy.
Her career has involved providing capacity building support to African development organizations. She created this platform after observing the critical need for an effective diaspora engagement strategy to improve development outcomes and reduce brain drain.
Jessica is originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo and is fluent in Lingala, English, and French. She also has a working knowledge of Spanish and Swahili.
