ADC Participates in U.S.-Africa Policy Working Group Briefing on DRC Crisis

On March 11, 2025, African Diaspora Connection participated in the first meeting of the 119th Congress’s U.S.-Africa Policy Working Group, chaired by Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. The session addressed the worsening humanitarian crisis in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), with a focus on the M23 militia’s occupation of Goma and surrounding regions. ADC’s participation underscores the African diaspora’s role in advocating for foreign policies that confront neocolonial trade patterns and promote sovereignty, stability, and self-determination in the DRC.
