ADC partnered with Drexel University’s African Student Association (DASA) for an educational event exploring the historical roots of Congo’s decades-long conflict and its connection to resource exploitation, the devastating impact on women and children, and the resilience of Congolese communities through grassroots activism. ADC emphasized the importance of raising awareness among the next generation of immigrant changemakers, encouraging greater student involvement in trauma care advocacy, policy engagement, and community-led initiatives that amplify the voices of women and children affected by the conflict, ensuring their needs and perspectives remain central to these efforts.
